When people ask me what it's like to be a Realtor, I often say it's a bit like a roller coaster. And this past week seemed like a full ride.
I started the week with a young man who just purchased his second duplex. He has a life plan, and is doing it up right ~ I'm so impressed, and so excited for him!
Then I met with a pair of young ladies who are at the very beginning of the plan to buy their first home and are focused on saving up for it.
I helped a mature family who were finally able to become homeowners for the first time, and purchased the home they've loved for a long time from an older gentleman who is selling his investment to simplify (and fund) his retirement.
I ended the week with a brother and sister who are selling their 90 year old Mother's home, who was finally able to secure a spot in Long Term Care.
Emotions ran the gamut from cautious optimism, to nervous excitement, to elation at getting a set of keys, to sadness at giving up a home loved for many years. And I don't just mean my clients. I'm right there with them.
This week seemed to age as it went. I feel honoured to be involved with people at so many different turning points in their lives. From the first purchase, to the final sale, and all the ups and downs in between. It seemed that this week was a perfect mirror of life on the roller coaster.
